As a third-generation family-owned business, Major Brands is deeply committed to improving the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. Throughout our 80-year history, giving back has been an important part of who we are and how we operate as a company. Major Brands is dedicated to sustaining that long, strong tradition of community service by supporting charitable organizations that provide health and human services, education and cultural enrichment throughout Missouri.

Major Brands recently marked a 25-year milestone in community service when employees and their families volunteered to deliver hundreds of Meals on Wheels to home-bound and elderly St. Louis residents on Thanksgiving morning. Over the years, thousands of needy St. Louisans have received Thanksgiving meals through this enduring partnership, as well as through turkey giveaways with our retail and supplier partners.

Our heritage of community commitment also includes promoting social responsibility. As a resident wholesaler, we have a personal stake in protecting our families, friends and neighbors from the negative consequences of irresponsible consumption, such as drinking and driving, and underage drinking. We are proud of our five-year partnership with Scooter Guy, the designated driver service that has given more than 55,000 Missourians a ride home after a night on the town. In 2012, Major Brands received one of the industry’s highest honors, the Platinum Award for social responsibility, for our innovative partnership with Scooter Guy.

Major Brands has encouraged all our employees, our retail customers and the public to join the “We Don’t Serve Teens” campaign throughout Missouri. The campaign is part of a nationwide effort aimed at reducing teens’ access to alcohol and educating social sources – including family and friends – not to provide alcohol to teens.
